More than ten years ago, when our organization was just beginning and when we were just a small Group of dreamers, there was something that moved us to understand the true meaning of life: to study the example of Jesus. We realized that the Carpenter of Nazareth, who proclaimed Himself the Son of God, shook the World through just one force, the power of love. And as a Vehicle to show that love in acts, His tool was service. He served each person He met, leaving them with inerasable marks and changing their lives forever. As Christians we understood that if we wanted to imitate Jesus, we needed to start at the basics. It was not about long explanations about Christianity, but instead, of imitating the example of He who was our role model. The idea was to show love through service. Just like we saw that same service transform the world 2000 years ago, so we wanted to do it here and now.
 
As we began to practice it, we proved it right: Service has Power; power to open hearts, power to change lives, but above all, power to give hope and joy to those who have lost them. So we understood that the tool used by Jesus was the best and most efficient tool we could use.  Serving the needy, the forgotten, the oppressed, and all for 14 years, has corroborated our slogan: The Power of Service.
 
Now, how do you keep yourself serving for so many years when sometimes it is so hard to do it? You need a force, a model, a mentor, which is the cause of our service. The example we have is Jesus, the Son of God. He, who being God did not mind becoming someone to be slaughtered and suffer for us on the cross, is the inspiration that keeps us serving each day and seeking serving even more. He is the motive and the force of this organization.
 
So, WHY DO I DO IT? I do it for Jesus. What tool do I use to do it? THE POWER OF SERVICE. If you don’t relieve it we challenge you to join us and try it for yourself. You will see that it is true!!!
